DKN-RFT-1624 is a model with a longer belt in the Kunning Cryo belt freezer product line: the belt is 1600 mm wide and 24 m long, material is spread flat on the belt and continuously passes through the low-temperature zone, and the discharge end connects directly to packaging or transfer processes. The numeric segment 1624 in the model reads as belt width 1600 mm and belt length 24 m. The equipment uses compressor cooling as the cold source; no liquid nitrogen tank or cryogenic piping is needed on site—once powered and with condensing heat dissipation conditions arranged, it can start running.

Belt size is the effective conveying surface size. Actual capacity depends on material shape, piece weight, spreading thickness, inlet temperature and target core temperature, and is calculated according to the customer’s product.

Insulated enclosure and inspection side of belt freezer

Structure and Configuration

The equipment is a continuous tunnel structure consisting of four parts: insulated enclosure, belt conveying, evaporator and cold air circulation, and control system.

  • Insulated enclosure: inner and outer walls are SUS304 food-grade stainless steel plates, with rigid polyurethane foam insulation in between; the enclosure is segmented along the length, each segment with an inspection door for cleaning, defrosting and checking belt operation.
  • Belt conveying system: stainless steel belt with variable-frequency speed control motor, continuously adjustable speed; the long line is equipped with tensioning and deviation-correction mechanisms at multiple points to avoid deviation, and the inlet and outlet ends can connect with upstream and downstream conveying lines.
  • Evaporator and cold air circulation: the evaporator is equipped with axial fans and air guide plates, cold air circulates and exchanges heat on both upper and lower sides of the belt, allowing the material surface to pass through the ice crystal formation zone as quickly as possible; the freezing section is arranged with evaporators by segment, each segment set separately according to the freezing curve, with the front section cooling down and the rear section holding temperature for different materials.
  • Control system: PLC plus touch screen control, PID automatic adjustment, PT100 platinum resistance temperature measurement; step-by-step cooling and holding programs, with over-temperature alarm, emergency stop, grounding and phase sequence protection.

Application Scenarios

Scenario Description
Aquatic processing Continuous IQF of fish, shrimp and shellfish, with thicker pieces or higher inlet temperature
Meat and poultry processing Cut meat, poultry block freezing and IQF, requiring longer low-temperature residence time
Prepared dishes and prepared foods Multi-category switching, calling belt speed and segmented temperatures per product
Pastry and fruit/vegetable pieces Continuous quick freezing of pieces and small blocks, synchronized with upstream and downstream processes

For batch-type, small-batch multi-variety production, cabinet equipment can be considered (liquid nitrogen freezer cabinet); for how to choose between liquid nitrogen and mechanical refrigeration, see Comparison of liquid nitrogen quick freezing and mechanical refrigeration quick freezing; for how to match belt speed with freezing cycle, see Freezing cycle and belt speed of liquid nitrogen quick freezing tunnel, and this algorithm also applies to compressor-cooled belt lines. For continuous production configurations, see liquid nitrogen quick freezing tunnel.

Installation Conditions

  • Site: occupies about 24 m along the length direction, plus space reserved for inlet/outlet connections, operation and inspection passages (external dimensions confirmed per order).
  • Floor and drainage: floor load calculated according to the equipment’s full-load weight; the workshop is provided with slope and floor drains according to cleaning requirements.
  • Power: 380V/50Hz, wiring and grounding according to total power and site distribution capacity.
  • Heat dissipation: the condenser requires ventilation or cooling water conditions; air-cooled models need sufficient air intake and exhaust space, water-cooled models require cooling water circulation.

Warranty and After-Sales

The whole machine has a one-year warranty; a solution is provided within 2 hours after receiving the request, arrival on site within 24 hours, and troubleshooting within 72 hours; one free on-site service per year, with lifetime technical support.

FAQ

What does 1624 in DKN-RFT-1624 represent?

According to Kunning Cryo equipment numbering rules, the numeric segment of tunnel and belt models is “belt width (mm÷100) + belt length (m)”, so 1624 means belt width 1600 mm and belt length 24 m. Belt size is a fixed value and does not equal hourly capacity.

Does this equipment use liquid nitrogen or a compressor?

It uses compressor cooling, which is mechanical refrigeration. Unlike liquid nitrogen quick freezing tunnels, it does not require a liquid nitrogen tank, cryogenic transfer piping or exhaust system; it can run once powered on site and with condensing heat dissipation conditions arranged.

How to choose between DKN-RFT-1624 and DKN-RFT-1618?

Both have the same belt width (1600 mm); the difference is belt length: 1624 is 24 m, 1618 is 18 m. A longer freezing section gives material more ample residence time in the low-temperature zone, suitable for production lines with thicker pieces, higher moisture content or higher inlet temperature; when material is thin, freezing time is short or workshop length is limited, 18 m and 12 m models are more suitable.

What are the working temperature, cooling capacity and total power?

These three items are configured according to material, capacity, inlet temperature and site power conditions; there are no fixed values and they are confirmed per order. Selection parameters and power requirements are provided after the working conditions are clarified.

What discharge core temperature can be reached, and how is capacity calculated?

Quick-freezing conditions are calculated at material core temperature below -18℃; the specific value depends on material thickness, moisture content and residence time, and is confirmed per order. Capacity calculation requires piece weight, spreading thickness, inlet temperature and shift output requirements.
