DKN-RFT-1618 is the 1600 mm wide, 18 m long mesh belt model in the Kunning Cryo mesh belt freezer product line: material is spread flat on the mesh belt from the infeed end, passes through the low-temperature zone with the belt for continuous freezing, and is output from the discharge end. According to Kunning Cryo equipment numbering rules, the numeric segment 1618 is read as mesh belt width 1600 mm and mesh belt length 18 m; compared with the 12 m model of the same width, it has 6 m more freezing section, suitable for materials with relatively thick individual pieces, relatively high moisture content, and longer low-temperature residence time requirements. The equipment uses compressor refrigeration as the cold source, requires no liquid nitrogen tank or low-temperature piping, and can operate once connected to power on site with condensation and heat dissipation conditions in place.

Mesh belt freezer insulated enclosure and access side

Structure and Configuration

The equipment is a continuous tunnel structure, composed of four parts: insulated enclosure, mesh belt conveying system, evaporator and cold air circulation system, and control system.

  • Insulated enclosure: inner and outer walls are formed from SUS304 food-grade stainless steel plates, with rigid polyurethane foam insulation in between; the enclosure is provided with access doors in sections along the length for easy cleaning and defrosting.
  • Mesh belt conveying system: stainless steel mesh belt with variable frequency speed control motor and tensioning device, speed continuously adjustable; the tensioning and deviation correction mechanism of the 18 m long line is arranged along the full length, and the infeed and discharge ends can be docked with upstream and downstream process conveying lines.
  • Evaporator and cold air circulation: the evaporator is equipped with axial flow fans and air guide plates, and cold air circulates for heat exchange on both upper and lower sides of the mesh belt, allowing the material surface to quickly pass through the ice crystal formation zone; the long line is arranged with evaporators in sections, and each section is set separately according to the process.
  • Control system: PLC plus touch screen control, PID automatic adjustment, temperature measurement using PT100 platinum resistance; equipped with over-temperature alarm, emergency stop switch, grounding and phase sequence protection and other safety designs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 1618 in DKN-RFT-1618 represent?

According to Kunning Cryo equipment numbering rules, the numeric segment of tunnel and mesh belt models is “mesh belt width (mm÷100) + mesh belt length (m)”, so 1618 means mesh belt width 1600 mm and mesh belt length 18 m. Mesh belt size is a fixed value and does not equal hourly capacity.

Does this equipment use liquid nitrogen or a compressor?

It uses compressor refrigeration, i.e., mechanical refrigeration. Unlike liquid nitrogen quick freezing tunnels, it does not require a liquid nitrogen tank or low-temperature piping, and can operate once connected to power on site with condensation and heat dissipation conditions in place.

How to choose between DKN-RFT-1618 and DKN-RFT-1612?

Both have the same mesh belt width (1600 mm), and the difference is in mesh belt length: 1618 is 18 m, 1612 is 12 m. The longer freezing section provides more ample residence time for materials in the low-temperature zone, suitable for materials with relatively thick individual pieces, relatively high moisture content, or relatively high infeed temperature; production lines with thin materials and short freezing time can use the 12 m model. Which one to choose specifically is calculated according to material and shift output.

What are the working temperature, refrigeration capacity, and total power?

All three items are configured according to customer material, capacity, and on-site power conditions, with no fixed values, and are confirmed per order. After working conditions are confirmed, the corresponding selection parameters and power distribution requirements are provided.

What discharge core temperature can be achieved, and how is capacity calculated?

Quick freezing conditions are calculated at material core temperature below -18℃, and the specific value is related to material thickness, moisture content, and residence time, and is confirmed per order. Capacity calculation requires providing individual piece weight, spreading thickness, infeed temperature, target core temperature, and shift output requirements.
