DKN-RHV-500L is the continuous line model in the Kunning Cryo RHV series of immersion chillers. In the model designation, 500 indicates the throughput level, and L indicates the continuous line structure. Its heat exchange method differs from air-cooled equipment: materials are conveyed by a food-grade mesh belt and directly immersed in low-temperature freezing liquid for heat exchange. The freezing liquid can come into direct contact with food, and its thermal conductivity and heat capacity are higher than air. The complete machine consists of three parts: the tunnel line (cabinet, mesh belt, freezing liquid circulation), the compressor refrigeration unit, and the control system. The power distribution specification is 380V/50Hz.
The throughput, tank volume, and tunnel dimensions of this specification have no fixed values; they are determined by calculation based on material thickness, inlet temperature, and target core temperature, subject to the technical annex of the order.

Structure and Configuration
Cabinet and Insulation
- Inner and outer chambers are formed from SUS304 stainless steel plate by shearing, bending, and welding, with reinforcing ribs at load-bearing positions.
- The insulation layer is a multi-layer thermal foam structure; the upper cover is an insulated thermal cover that can automatically flip to both sides and is detachable.
- The lower part of the freezing tank is inclined for convergence, equipped with a freezing liquid discharge pipe and shut-off valve.
Mesh Belt and Conveying
- Food-grade low-temperature dedicated conveying mesh belt, variable frequency speed control, equipped with automatic mesh belt tension adjustment device and pressure belt.
- The circulation tank is of convection design, with spray pipes for circulation at the bottom and both sides of the mesh belt.
- Segmented lifting mesh belt quickly lifts and discharges materials, reducing product temperature rise and condensate backflow; the mesh belt and bracket can be mechanically raised and lowered for easy cleaning.
Discharge, Control, and Safety
- The discharge end has two air knives plus high-pressure airflow for water removal; the tail air knife blows dry and is equipped with a freezing liquid recovery device.
- Control is PLC plus touch screen, PID automatic adjustment, platinum resistance temperature measurement, automatic alarm and power-off at program end.
- Protection functions cover compressor overload and overcurrent, high and low pressure, over-temperature, phase sequence and phase loss, and anti-freeze protection.
Application Scenarios
| Scenario | Description |
|---|---|
| Aquatic processing | Shrimp, fish fillets, shellfish, and other individually quick-frozen materials that can be continuously fed |
| Cooked food and braised products | Continuous rapid cooling section after cooking, reducing workshop stacking and waiting |
| Prepared dishes and frozen meals | Cooling or freezing section after cooking, preceded by portioning and followed by packaging |
| Central kitchen and group catering | Continuous cooling aligned with portioning rhythm |
| Production line renovation | Replacing batch cooling equipment, connecting front and rear conveying lines |
For situations with small batch sizes and frequent product changeovers, a batch-type food quick chiller can be used; for projects requiring lower temperatures and where liquid nitrogen consumption is acceptable, see Liquid Nitrogen Quick Freezing vs. Mechanical Refrigeration Quick Freezing Comparison; for equipment forms, see the immersion chiller product line page.
Installation Conditions
- Site: Footprint calculated according to equipment length; reserve operating passages, maintenance space, and freezing liquid tank cleaning surface.
- Power: 380V/50Hz three-phase five-wire; the wiring from the main line to the electrical control cabinet is to be laid by the buyer.
- Media: The site needs storage conditions for freezing liquid and refrigerant; water-cooled condensation configuration requires reserved cooling water tower position and circulating water circuit (subject to order confirmation).
Warranty and After-Sales
The complete machine has a one-year warranty; after receiving fault information, a solution is provided within 2 hours, and if remote resolution is not possible, arrival on site within 24 hours, with the problem resolved within 72 hours; one free on-site service per year, with long-term technical support provided after the warranty period. Specific terms are subject to the sales contract.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the throughput of DKN-RHV-500L?
500 is the throughput level, not a fixed capacity. Actual throughput is calculated based on the piece weight, thickness, inlet temperature, and target core temperature of the material, with continuous throughput measured in kilograms per hour.
Must materials be packaged? Can they come into direct contact with the freezing liquid?
The freezing liquid is a food-grade medium that can come into direct contact with food, and packaging forms that permit immersion are also allowed; bare materials and packaged materials have different thermal resistance, so cycle times must be determined separately.
What site and power preparations are needed?
Power distribution is 380V/50Hz three-phase five-wire; after the total power is confirmed by order, capacity and wire diameter are calculated; the site should reserve passages, maintenance, and cleaning work surfaces according to equipment dimensions.
What is the difference between this and DKN-RHV-2000L?
They are models of the same series at different throughput levels, both being tunnel-type continuous production lines with mesh belt conveying plus immersion heat exchange; the differences lie in tunnel length, effective mesh belt width, and unit configuration; the parameters of this model are calculated according to the order.
